Will Family Judge Matthew Harter suspend his campaign to save his son?
March 2, 2014 (LAS VEGAS, NEVADA) — Clark County, Family Court Judge Matthew Harter from Department N is seeking re-election and for good reasons, so it seems. Recently the Review Journal published its controversial Judicial Performance Evaluation which is based on anonymous votes by local attorneys who participated in the alleged biased survey. Even columnist Glenn Cook from the Review Journal publicly supported Judge Harter in a recent editorial.
Veterans In Politics obtained official Declaration of Arrest reports about a dangerous burglary reported on October 19, 2013 and was committed by several teenagers and possibly Grahm Harter, the son of Judge Matthew Harter. Metro. officers A. Caldwell, N. Boss, S. Kelly and A. Johnson each filed official reports about an incident on October 19, 2013. According to reports and a statement made by Judge Harter, he discovered stolen items hidden in his garage by Grahm Harter including some narcotic paraphernalia, a marijuana grinder with residue, two glass jars with residue and a black semi-auto Ruger 9mm handgun with almost 50 rounds of ammunition. The gun is registered to a deceased Michael Overson and his son, Cord Overson, inherited the gun and a residence after his father’s death. Cord Overson is a close friend of Grahm Harter, Judge Matthew Harter’s son. As the story unfolded Officer A. Johnson later discovered that several friends of Grahm Harter ransacked the residence of Cord Overson and stole a large gun safe which contained five or more SKS 7.62mm semi-auto rifles with unknown serial numbers, several handguns, cash and paperwork. Several teens were arrested and charged including Tori Burkett, Juan Leon, Wyatt Wright, Carlos Jessen, Damon Bush, Zak Baldwin and Tryston Wood. Although Judge Matthew Harter voluntarily stated to Officer Johnson that his son Grahm Harter was in the possession of stolen property and an uncontrolled substance without proper permits or medical prescriptions, Grahm Harter was not arrested nor questioned at the police station as written in the reports. Allegedly Judge Matthew Harter whisked off his son, Grahm Harter to live with his mom in another state. It is reported that Judge Matthew Harter declared his ex, the mom of Grahm Harter to be unfit based on unproven claims of addictions and other personal problems.
There is some advice worth considering that is published in a letter located in the first book of Timothy that can be applied to secular leaders including Judge Matthew Harter.
Paul wrote to Timothy to encourage him in his responsibility for overseeing the work of the Ephesian church and possibly the other churches in the province of Asia. This letter lays the foundation for ordaining elders and provides guidance for ordaining people into offices of the church and pastoral conduct. In essence, 1 Timothy is a leadership manual for church organization and administration.
