State & Clark County Candidates Compete for the Most Valuable Veteran Endorsement in Nevada
Candidates carefully vetted for Veterans in Politics Int. Endorsement on March 30th, April 5th and 6th
Las Vegas, Nevada (April 15, 2014) – – – Veterans In Politics International, Inc. (VIPI), today announced that it has endorsed another eight Clark County candidates for interviews held on March 30th. Clark County Commissioner (Districts E, F and G), District Attorney, Clark County Assessor, Clark County Clerk, Clark County Recorder, Clark County Treasurer and Clark County Public Administrator were among the latest seats to be endorsed by the organization. No endorsements (by vote) were made for Clark County Treasurer.
VIPI endorsed seven candidates for interviews held on April 5th. Constable (Goodsprings, Henderson, North Las Vegas), Clark County Sheriff, US Congress (District 1, 3, and 4).
VIPI endorsed six candidates for interviews held on April 6th. Nevada State Senate (Districts 8, 9, 10, 20, 21) and Assembly Districts 2. No endorsements (by vote) for Nevada State Assembly District 1 and no endorsements made for Nevada State Senate (Districts 2 and 21).
The VIPI endorsement process is painstakingly fair, unbiased, impartial and non-partisan. It is conducted by 100% volunteer efforts involving people with extremely diverse personal backgrounds and varying political views. VIPI interview panels vary and differentiate at every interview event. It was created to reflect a pure process, highlighting true opinions and concerns of everyday Americans. All interviews are advertised well in advance, and panel seats are available to the public upon request. The general public is also welcome and encouraged to attend and participate. The process is always, taped, unedited and does not provide questions to candidates prior to the event. The VIP panel member’s identities are not released until the day of the interviews to ensure neutral and fair endorsement hearings and include both veteran and non-veteran panelists. VIPI does all of this for a love of community, in an effort to educate the public on the candidates running for office, and is proud to be one of the only groups in the State of Nevada that endorses candidates with this type of transparency.

Stavros Anthony Mayor Pro-Tem/Las Vegas City Councilman moderated the endorsement interviews on March 30th; Deborah March Henderson City Councilwoman moderated the endorsement interviews on April 5th, and Richard Scotti Nevada Attorney moderated the endorsement interviews on April 6th.
