Clark County, Nevada Eighth Judicial District Court
September 9, 2025
In the heart of Clark County’s justice system, Judge Nadia Krall has built a reputation not only for fairness and preparation, but for her ability to see the human stories behind every case. As presiding judge of Department 4 in the Eighth Judicial District Court, she is entrusted with decisions that shape lives, businesses, and communities across Southern Nevada. Yet, her story extends well beyond the courtroom—it is a journey of resilience, service, and balance that reflects both the weight of justice and the humanity of the woman who carries it.
Krall’s legal career began at a historic moment. She was part of the very first graduating class of the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law in 2000. After graduation, she spent eight years honing her craft at an established firm, gaining invaluable experience and perspective on the practice of law. Building on that foundation, she then took the leap. She started her own private practice, where for more than a decade she represented personal injury clients—ordinary Nevadans navigating extraordinary challenges. Those years shaped not only her command of the law but also her conviction that justice must always center on the dignity and humanity of the people it serves.
That people-first philosophy became the foundation of her judicial path. In 2020, she campaigned for a seat on the district court bench and earned the trust of voters, winning the general election with a decisive 55 percent of the vote. On January 4, 2021, she was sworn in as a judge. Since then, she has brought the same compassion and tenacity that once defined her practice to her courtroom—balancing the strict application of law with an unwavering respect for the people standing before her.
Away from the courthouse, Krall is equally defined by her passions. An avid rock climber, she often spends weekends at Red Rock Canyon, where sandstone cliffs rise like silent sentinels over the desert. To her, climbing is more than recreation; it is a form of meditation. Each ascent requires focus, patience, and trust in oneself—qualities that mirror her work on the bench. The cliffs remind her that perspective is vital: no matter how heavy the demands of law, there is always space to breathe, reflect, and reset.
Krall is also an advocate for something often overlooked in the legal profession: mental and physical wellness. Aware of the high rates of burnout, anxiety, and depression in the legal community, she has called for deeper reforms to integrate wellness programs into law schools and professional practice. For her, resilience is not simply surviving long hours and pressure—it is about building sustainable habits that allow lawyers and judges to thrive both professionally and personally.
Her commitment to accessibility extends beyond rulings and dockets. She has engaged with the public through platforms like the Veterans in Politics talk show, underscoring her belief that judges should not be cloistered away from the community they serve. Transparency and dialogue, she argues, build trust in the judiciary.
Judge Nadia Krall is part of a new wave of jurists who blend principle with relatability, seeing law not as a barrier but as a bridge. Her story is one of balance—between work and wellness, strength and compassion, justice and humanity. Whether guiding a courtroom or scaling the desert cliffs, she shows that true leadership is found not in distance, but in connection.
