The Veterans In Politics Foundation proudly presents the 8th Biennial Valentine’s Day Ball & Gala, returning on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the beautiful Suncoast Hotel & Casino on Rampart. This prestigious event brings together veterans, elected officials, community leaders, and supporters for an extraordinary night of honor, celebration, and purpose.

This year’s Gala is set to be our grandest and most meaningful yet, featuring distinguished speakers, lifetime achievement honorees, live entertainment, and a powerful call to support the mission of the Veterans In Politics Foundation.

⭐ Keynote Guest Speaker

Brigadier General Robert G. Novotny (USAF, Ret.)

ROBERT G. NOVOTNY (“Rob”)
Robert G. Novotny is a retired Brigadier General from the United States Air Force with extensive experience leading large and complex organizations across the globe. He possesses deep expertise in foreign government relations, resource management, strategic communication, crisis response, acquisition and innovation, leadership development, planning, and organizational strategy. Rob is also the President of Skyracer Consulting, LLC, providing innovative solutions to defense, aerospace, and emerging technology companies in the United States and abroad.

Brig. Gen. Novotny previously served as Commander of the 57th Wing at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. He was responsible for 36 squadrons across 12 installations. The wing flies and maintains more than 182 aircraft, including the A-10, F-15C/D, F-15E, F-16C/CG/CJ, F-22A, F-35A, and HH-60G. It also utilizes the E-3, RC-135, E-8, B-1, B-2, B-52, C-130, KC-135, C-17, AC-130U, MC-130, CV-22, U-28, and MQ-9 aircraft at bases across the United States in support of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School syllabus.

He oversaw three groups—the 57th Operations Group, the 57th Maintenance Group, and the U.S. Air Force Weapons School. Additionally, he supervised the U.S. Air Force Advanced Maintenance and Munitions Operations School, the Thunderbirds, Red Flag and Green Flag exercises, and the USAF Aggressors.

We are proud to welcome Mayor Shelley Berkley, a longtime public servant and tireless advocate for Southern Nevada families and veterans. As a member of the U.S. Congress, Shelley fought to secure the funding to build the VA Hospital in Southern Nevada. Her presence underscores the importance of civic engagement and community support.
