Judicial candidate suspended in Florida and reprimanded in Nevada by the Nevada State Bar, wants to be your next judge!

Clark County Nevada

July 9, 2020

Judicial candidate Crystal Lyn Eller is suspended by the Florida State Bar for nonpayment of dues as of October 2019 bar number 975168. According to Nevada State law, Eller is required to inform the Nevada State Bar but failed to do so.

Eller also recently received a reprimand by the Nevada State Bar on April 6, 2020 bar number 4978 and grievance number OBC19-1253 for violating the Nevada Rules of Professional Conduct 5.4, 7.3, and 8.4. The bar states that “[her] contract would have entitled [her] to 16.5% ($12,328.44) of the excess proceeds recovered. Receiving $12,328.44 for, at most, two weeks of work constitutes an unreasonable fee.”

The reprimand goes on to state, “A reprimand is generally appropriate when a lawyer negligently engages in conduct that is a violation of a duty owed as a professional and causes injury or potential injury to a client, the public, or the legal system. This type of ethical breach could have caused potential injury to Ms. Cusinato, the public, as well as the legal profession.”

If this is the way Ms. Eller treats her own clients who she assumedly likes, one can imagine how “Judge Eller” would treat litigants who she may not like.

Voters need to make informed decisions when selecting judges!

Eller is a candidate for Clark County District Court Judge Department 19.
