DANIELLE TARMU UNDER FIRE: BROTHEL COMMENTS, COURTHOUSE PRIVILEGES, AND NO CRIMINAL-LAW EXPERIENCE — IS SHE READY TO BE A JUDGE?
2026 General Election | Eighth Judicial District Court, Department 28 | Clark County, Nevada
Should Danielle Tarmu be trusted with the enormous responsibility of serving as a District Court judge when her own public statements raise serious questions about her judgment, qualifications, and understanding of judicial ethics?
Clark County voters deserve answers before November 3, 2026.
Tarmu has publicly questioned why brothels are prohibited in Las Vegas, described a courthouse traffic-ticket program for attorneys as a favorite perk, and acknowledged having no criminal-law practice experience.
These statements deserve scrutiny from anyone concerned about fairness, public safety, and accountability in Nevada’s courts.
Additional allegations and video material concerning Tarmu can be found at LasVegasCorruptionLive.com.
1. COURTHOUSE PRIVILEGES: SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR LAWYERS?
In a 2020 Super Lawyers interview, Tarmu identified “Family and Friends Day” as a courthouse perk allowing attorneys to take care of traffic tickets.
Why should attorneys have a courthouse perk involving traffic citations when ordinary citizens must navigate the justice system without special connections?
Were lawyers and their acquaintances receiving preferential treatment? Did Tarmu personally benefit?
Nevada Judicial Conduct Rule 1.3 prohibits judges from abusing judicial prestige to obtain personal advantages.
Although Tarmu was not a judge when she made the statement, voters deserve to know whether this program involved favoritism. Her remark alone does not prove misconduct.
Justice should never depend on who you know!
2. BROTHELS IN LAS VEGAS: WHAT DOES TARMU REALLY SUPPORT?
Tarmu also stated in Super Lawyers:
“it makes no sense to allow other Nevada counties to have brothels but not Las Vegas.”
Does Danielle Tarmu support legalizing brothels in Clark County?
Las Vegas already faces serious human-trafficking and sexual-exploitation concerns. Voters deserve to know where a judicial candidate stands on this controversial issue.
Nevada Judicial Conduct Rule 4.1(A)(13) prohibits judicial candidates from making commitments inconsistent with impartial adjudication.
Tarmu’s statement does not establish a violation, but it raises questions about how she would separate personal opinions from her judicial responsibilities.
Judges must enforce Nevada law, regardless of their personal preferences.
3. NO CRIMINAL-LAW PRACTICE EXPERIENCE — BUT SHE WANTS TO BE A DISTRICT COURT JUDGE!
In a September 29, 2026, Nevada Current interview, Tarmu acknowledged having no criminal-law practice experience.
Yet she is seeking a judgeship that may involve serious felony prosecutions, constitutional issues, criminal sentencing, and decisions affecting people’s freedom.
Should the District Court bench be where someone first gains practical experience handling criminal cases?
Civil litigation experience is valuable, but it does not automatically replace criminal-law experience.
Nevada law does not require District Court candidates to have practiced criminal law. Nevertheless, voters have every right to question whether Tarmu is adequately prepared.
Meeting the minimum qualifications for judicial office is not the same as demonstrating readiness for its responsibilities.
4. JUDICIAL ETHICS: DOES TARMU UNDERSTAND THE STANDARDS?
Nevada Judicial Conduct Rule 4.1(A)(11) prohibits judicial candidates from knowingly or recklessly making false or misleading statements.
Rule 4.1(A)(13) addresses improper commitments that undermine impartiality.
The courthouse-perk and brothel statements warrant scrutiny, but the available evidence does not establish that Tarmu violated either provision.
The public deserves judicial candidates who demonstrate fairness, sound judgment, integrity, and respect for the law.
5. TARMU’S REPORTED ANTIDEPRESSANT STATEMENTS
Las Vegas Corruption Live has also published allegations concerning Tarmu’s reported statements about long-term antidepressant use.
The original video has not been independently authenticated for this article.
Taking prescribed antidepressants does not establish impaired judgment or judicial unfitness. Any assessment of professional competence must rest on actual evidence of conduct and performance.

CONCLUSION: CLARK COUNTY VOTERS DESERVE ANSWERS!
Danielle Tarmu is asking voters to place tremendous judicial authority in her hands. Her public statements and lack of criminal-law practice experience deserve serious examination.
Why did she describe a courthouse traffic-ticket program as a perk?
Does she support bringing legalized brothels into Las Vegas?
How does she intend to handle serious criminal proceedings without previous criminal-law practice experience?
And how will she demonstrate the impartiality and judgment expected of a District Court judge?
These are not minor questions. They concern the integrity of Nevada’s justice system.
The available evidence raises legitimate concerns about qualifications and judgment, though it does not establish a judicial ethics or statutory violation.
Judicial office is a public trust—not an entitlement. Clark County voters deserve a judge who is prepared to uphold the law and administer equal justice from day one.
