Judge Noreen DeMonte: Experience, Accountability, and Justice on the Bench

Judge Noreen DeMonte serves as the Justice of the Peace for Department 10 of the Las Vegas Justice Court. Elected to the bench in 2022, she brought with her nearly two decades of prosecutorial experience from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, where she rose to the rank of Chief Deputy District Attorney.

During her tenure as a prosecutor, Judge DeMonte focused extensively on prosecuting repeat and violent offenders. She worked closely with law enforcement agencies on career criminal and repeat-offender initiatives, earning a reputation for her commitment to public safety, accountability, and the rule of law.

A graduate of the Indiana University School of Law, Judge DeMonte began her legal career with the Las Vegas Municipal Court before joining the Clark County District Attorney’s Office in 2004. Over the course of her prosecutorial career, she handled numerous jury trials and gained extensive courtroom experience in complex criminal matters.

Since taking the bench in January 2023, Judge DeMonte has presided over a wide range of cases within the jurisdiction of the Las Vegas Justice Court, including criminal, traffic, and civil matters. Her approach to the judiciary reflects a balance of fairness, professionalism, and respect for the legal process.

A resident of the Las Vegas Valley for more than two decades, Judge DeMonte has remained dedicated to serving the Southern Nevada community both inside and outside the courtroom. Her career reflects a longstanding commitment to justice, public service, and maintaining the integrity of the judicial system.
