Clark County Family Court Judge William Henderson said no more blanket closed hearings

In the List matter D-504940 The defendant litigant invited the Veterans In Politics Observers to watch her case. The courtroom was occupied by several Veterans In Politics Court Observers. Out of nowhere, the defendant’s counsel saw the observers sitting in the courtroom and then asked for a closed hearing and then added that its a juvenile case. opposing counsel said he wouldn’t object as long as his client’s girlfriend can stay. Judge Bill Henderson had to correct defense counsel and said it’s not a juvenile case and there will be no more blanket closed hearings. If there is a closed hearings everybody has to be removed and their cant is a verbal closed hearing. the parties have to file a petition with the courts ahead of time and there have to be sufficient reasons as to why a closed hearing should be approved.
