US Army Combat Veteran has 25 days of Jail hanging over his head from a Family Court
On August 22nd Veterans In Politics Court Observer visited Clark County Family Court Judge Bryce Duckworth.
We went to support Army and Combat Veteran Mark Hooben who is the plaintiff and had a Contempt of Court Hearing over his retirement benefits.
The plaintiff indicated he paid the defendant $2,000 in cash, he showed the court that the withdrawals were made but, Judge Duckworth didn’t believe the plaintiff paid $2,000 to the defendant, instead he believed the defendant when she said she received $200.
Judge Duckworth will issue a bench warrant for 25 days in custody if the plaintiff doesn’t pay $3,500 by next week, he also added $1,000 in sanctions against the plaintiff.
