Veterans In Politics Court Observers Carmela Powers, Jenni Weinstein, Katrina Alvarez-Hyman, Olga Ciesielski and Steve Sanson took a few weeks off from observing our Clark County Family Court Judges.
We started the program back up today Friday January 26, 2018.
We visited Judge Sandra Pomrenze and watched the Kris Kemp matter. The defendant right away wanted a closed hearing. Judge Pomrenze sounded like she was going to entertain the idea. But truly there were no cause to warrant a “Closed Hearing”, I guess we make some people very nervous.
We then turned our attention towards Judge Bill Henderson the Plaintiff in the case before the court requested a “Closed Hearing” then everyone turned their attention to Steve Sanson.
Judge Henderson wanted a legitimate reason why Court Observers cannot be in the courtroom. Sanson was called to address the court. Sanson indicated that he has a constitutional right to be in the courtroom, indicated the tax payers courtroom is supposed to be open to the public, it’s not a juvenile case, he is not a witness and the case is not sealed.
Judge Henderson stated that he is for transparency in the courtroom. Stated to the attorneys that he will get a legal opinion and he will continue the case if they did not come to terms.

To all the people that enjoy talking about me, thank you. Thank you for letting me know that I matter, thank you for letting me know that I am worth your time, energy and I am constantly on your mind.
For someone that’s not elected, don’t work for any government entity and not a financial power house. It’s great to know that I have people out there that have nothing better to do with their time.
Again thank you; because of your efforts in keeping my name in the courts, on social media and in the papers you have escalated my popularity.
You might not know who your law makers are but you know who I am.
