Veterans In Politics International (VIPI), Nevada Democratic Veterans and Military Families Caucus, Nevada Veterans Association, and Armed Forces Chamber PAC Collaborate for Joint Endorsement Interviews.

LAS VEGAS, NV – February 17, 2024 – The Nevada Democratic Veterans and Military Families Caucus (NV Dem Vets), Nevada Veterans Association, Veterans In Politics International (VIPI), and Armed Forces Chamber PAC proudly announce a collaborative effort to conduct joint endorsement interviews for crucial upcoming elections.

We take great pride in educating the public on each candidate running for elected office. We never “rubber stamp” a candidate—all endorsements are “earned.” Come out to support your favorite candidate and educate yourself on the candidates running to be your next elected representative.

 

The moderator for this event is Suzan Baucum, the former Las Vegas Justice of the Peace. The moderator is not a voting member and will not participate in any endorsement of candidates.

Judge Suzan Baucum is a native Nevadan. She graduated from Western High School in Las Vegas, receiving her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho, where she served as the Notes and Comments Editor of the Idaho Law Review.

Judge Suzan Baucum elected to the bench in 2010. Judge Baucum has served with distinction as Justice of the Peace for Department 13 of the Las Vegas Justice Court to the present day, from January 2019 to December. She was Chief Justice of the Las Vegas Justice Court.

This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to supporting candidates who align with the values and priorities of the veteran and military families community. The endorsing organizations look forward to engaging with candidates and contributing to the democratic process through informed and strategic endorsements.
