Veterans In Politics video internet talk show interviewed Jon Sammuel Petrick Jr. candidate for Nevada Assembly District 21.
Petrick hails from Pitsburg Penselyvannia from an inner-city family.
Petrick is very charismatic as he tells his life story. The host said that he isn’t sold on chiropractic.
After 18 min into the program, the host told Petrick that he has a long bio.
The host asked why are you involved in politics he said to help out his patients.
Petrick’s relationship with a political party:
The host asked Petrick why are you running as a Republican he said that the party shares his values.
The host identify Petrick as a talker to avoid answering questions and then he started to interview the host.
Petrick said he has been with the Republican Party since 2002, the host responded that he has been actively involved with the party since 1998 and he has never seen Patrick until a few months ago.
Petrick said that he hasn’t been a member of the County nor the State Party.

The host said that he watched an interview with him and he indicated that the reason he is running for office is to change laws regarding the chiropractic industry an industry that he is personally involved with.
Petrick said that the host took his words out of context.
So we decided to provide the interview and what was said below.

Petrick said; I have a ten-year plan, but I am starting with a smaller office.
Petrick continues to say, stand behind candidates that are pro-chiropractic. My district is mine to lose. I am going to carry the chiropractic message. It is about chiropractic and how I can take that message and craft legislation for better reinforcements, more occupancies, and residents on our insurance panel.
Chiropractors don’t hold an M.D, so they aren’t medical doctors, but they graduate with a doctor of chiropractic degree. They do have extensive training in chiropractic care and are licensed practitioners.

The host asked what bills he would introduce to the assembly to help his constituents in Assembly District 21.
Petrick wants a state Lottery:
Petrick said that he would introduce a Lottery in Nevada to help the homeless and unhoused.
The host said that the lottery has been introduced and failed, in addition, the casinos are against it. Not to mention Lotteries were originally outlawed in the Nevada state constitution which was ratified in 1864. Section 24 states “No lottery may be authorized by this State, nor may lottery tickets be sold.”
The host asked why can we fix the homeless with the marijuana sales tax?
The host asked how is the lottery going to help the homeless in AD21. Assembly District 21 has a population of 66,700 Petrick didn’t know this amount when asked.
The host was confused as to why the candidate kept asking questions of the host.
The host asked why aren’t you running for another office. Petrick said that he would start small and work his way up. So assembly is the stepping stone to something bigger.
The host again asked what are the issues that affect assembly district 21. Petrick responded that it’s the economy.
The host asked if he knew the average income in assembly district 21 and Petrick said about $44k. The host gave Petrick enough leeway to correct that amount. Realistically, the median household income for Nevada’s Assembly District 21 is $66.3k. Petrick was $22k off base which kind of eliminates the homeless population issue in his district.
Conclusion:
Petrick is a very charismatic and charming individual but has no clue as to what the issues are in his district. Based on two interviews it’s apparent that Petrick’s sole reason for running for this seat is to help his financial interest in the chiropractic industry.
